Abstractual is a sophisticated tool that enables the user to create, configure, manage, migrate, and monitor real or Virtual Machines in a clustered environment. SSH, VNC and remote desktop access can be activated on the Virtual Machines allowing them to be used, monitored, or controlled from a remote network location. Workstations, servers, HPC nodes, appliances and other devices and services can be controled and provisioned in this fashion enabling instant clouds.

Abstractual is designed to run on Perceus clusters and can take full advantage of the proven scalability of perceus by allowing the user to assign as many nodes in the cluster to Abstractual as needed, be it a single node or thousands, all in real time. Once nodes are assigned to Abstractual all of their abstracted processor cores and memory can be divided into as many Virtual Machines as the host can support.

The Abstractual webtool displays an overview of all created VM's, providing the VM name, power status, allocated memory, the host node the VM resides on, and controls to power on, off, hibernate, migrate, or create new VM's. Individual VM controls allow you to adjust memory and processor settings, set the boot device, specify a disc image, and create VM disk templates. The choice is yours to  control your VM cloud with the simple webtool interface or the command line interface with powerful scripting potential.
